Occupational Therapy
Our occupational therapy program at CIP is dedicated to helping children with special needs to develop the skills necessary for daily living and academic success. The primary goal is to enable each child to achieve the highest level of independence possible, enhancing their quality of life. Our highly skilled occupational therapists employ a variety of targeted exercises and activities that are tailored to each child’s specific need and development stage.
They employ a range of functional activities to enhance skills in the following areas:
- Improving dexterity, hand-eye coordination and the manipulation of small objects, which are crucial for tasks such as writing, buttoning and using utensils.
- Therapy sessions also emphasize on the development of self-care skills such as dressing, grooming and feeding. These are fundamental for achieving and building self-esteem
- Through activities that promote balance, rhythm and body awareness, we aim to improve both gross and fine motor coordination. This is essential for tasks ranging for walking, jumping and running.
